Thanks for sharing that.
I find it interesting also that the 3rd target was taken care of by a SAW M249 at that range, which fires 5.56, probably using M855 ammo. Another case for the 5.56 being effective at extended ranges, beyond what most critics of the 5.56 say is its limit and only for varmints at that.

1 in 10 is by far the most common twist rate for .308 so I am a but surprised by the 1 in 11 for this rifle.  Is the SASS not a .308 caliber rifle?

1) 1-12 will take care of 175gr pills
2) 1-11 helps keep pressures down
3) 1-11 is easier on gas guns

It is also the ideal twist rate for the 175SMK bullet. As far as the 1:10 being "by far" the most common - not really.
