| Anyone know why DPMS does not stake their gas keys for the LR-308 lineup? I'll be staking it myself but was wondering if there is any reason behind this other than cutting corners. |
| Interesting... I wonder if mine just got missed somehow or if they started staking later on. Mine is a few years old, got it from GA Precision, which I'm also surprised didn't stake it themselves. I have to pay $125 now for a MOACKS tool, I'm lucky enough Ned is making an AR-10 version for me. I could just use a punch but I want it done right and not look like a hack job. |

Just get an automatic center punch from the hardware store. They work great. |

Based on my staking ability with a punch on the castle nut is the reason I'm going for the MOACK. |
