Can anyone lend any info on the 6.5 Reaper, AR-10, over at AR15 Performance.com? It's a complete upper 300 SAUM necked down to .264 (6.5mm). Now is this (6.5mm) comparable to the 300 SAUM? It's a DPMS LR-10 upper with a 22" Krieger stainless match barrel with 1:8 twist. This is all I know. Does it stand up to a 300 SAUM?

Sounds like a recipe for very short barrel life.

I remember reading a Shooting Times several months back (last summer maybe) where Lane Pearce was reloading this round with some buddies.  He liked it.  I have been interested since.

Lane was working on the 264 Rocket. It's a 7mm RSUM to 6.5 mod.  I have seen 6.5-RSUM dies since.  It was done on a Savage action so we could make switch barrel rifles.
The next was a mod 280 Rem to 6.5.

See the common point?  6.5 with High BC's are stone cold killers at long range. It is a great beanfield rifle but you need a good scope to take advantage or the flat trajectory.

There is some load data floating around but it is all for bolt guns.

Arnalite had a 300 RSUM for a while but I think they dropped it for lack of sales.

the 280 sounds slick. I bet using the 40 degree AI version necked down to 6.5 would be even nicer for a bolt gun. My favorite deer rifle is my Win 70 Featherweight in 280.
