| Anyone using a Leupold CQT on a AR-.308? How do you like this optic on a .308 ? and do you think its enough optic or too little for the .308? |
| I have a little different point of view. I have a CQ/T on my DPMS AP4. At the bench, the scope will keep match ammo in the "dot" at 100 yards. At 1x you get a full field of view and two eyes open, and at 3x I have no problem ringing steel at 300 yards. Mine was given to me, so it was quite a bit less expensive than a ACOG. To each his own! |
| I run one on my DPMS AP4. Great optic, the "bad field of view" is internet garbage. Look at the specs, 13.9 METER FOV at 3x at 100 yards, thats like 42 feet or more. A Trijicon Accupoint is only 24.2 feet at only 4X at 100 yards. So one more X gets you almost half the FOV, hmmm.... |

How big is the tube on the CQT? Looks kinda small to me.Is it fairly easy to see through? extremely easy. i have a mark4 CQT and i like it better than the Acog i used to have. the CQT i find can act as eitehr a 4x scope which is all a AR really needs or as a fast dot sight at 1x with both eyes open. the really spiffy thing is that you do not need batteries to use it. the reticle is not dependant on them. i took the CQT down to texas for some javelina/hog hunting/deer hunting. worked fine on my ruger SR556 for all of it. the optics are super clear and worked great in low light and in bright sunlight. the CQT seems to be VERY rugged and im looking forward to trying it out on my 458socom when im done building it. the main reason i got rid of the ACOG sight was it always seemed like i was gonna break it if i bumped into something or dropped the rifle or some other accident. i do not regret swapping out for the leupold inthe slightest. |
