I am looking to upgrade my 308 gun, and I have laid hands on the P308, which seems great, but I keep hearing great things about the REPR.  Does anyone have any first (or second) hand info on how these two rifles compare?

You can't go wrong with either.

I have a P308 and would buy 10 more if I had the money.

In my experience (I have both), the repr has better fit and finish but the POF is more accurate.

So, one is as functionally sound as the other?

I too can't decide on which of these two

I have more than half saved up specifically set aside for the rifle

I think you get more bang for your buck with POF

However LWRC doesn't have people piss off at them to sky heaven like POF

To me POF looks cooler,
however Repr has better ideas in that that they have a cool rail syst

While Pof slips over the upper reciever thus putting the rail up higher which depending on your pref. checkweld
may make you uncomfortable

Pof is thought to have a better barrel
LWRC side charging handle,  some like this

price
pof $2500
Lwrc  $3500   but in the 18 & 20in conf.   you get a brand name trigger

Due to price Lwrc is easy to get, and I believe the price will come down
It is just tooooo much

just a few thoughts

LWRC has more of a standard height top rail.  POF guns have a taller top rail, which I don't like, except on the SCAR and ACR platforms because they have a build in cheek riser and have side charging handles so it's not an issue.   It's only an issue if you want to mount a medium to large optic on the gun.  I also love the REPR handguard, it feels good in the hand.  I also owned an M6 and the quality of that gun was awesome, no problems at all.  Only sold it because I needed money.

Well, I bought the POF.  I just couldn't see $1000 worth of difference.  Hopefully, I'll get to shoot it soon.  I threw on a 4x ACOG.
