I have a 16" midlength 308. The original mag and one new gunshow mag both seem to allow the last round in the mag to pop loose when firing the next to the last round. It leaves you with a loose round laying on top of the mag and the bolt locked back by the bolt stop. It did it with 4 different types of ammo. Anyone have a similar problem or cure? It did it about 30% of the time. Its brand new, so maybe it will fix itself.

Thanks,

Noob

Sounds like weak magazine springs.   How is the recoil on your rifle?  is it hitting abnormally hard?

As a matter of fact. I did think it was recoiling hard, compared to other gas guns I've fired. It's brand new so the mag springs SHOULD be good, but who knows. Why the question about recoil? Are there known problems with the buffer spring or something?

Thanks,

might be something to do with the bolt lock back mechanism....i've loaded a new mag in mine a few times while the bolt was locked back and the top round was dislodged by it.........D I C K
