Just ordered one and want to get everything else ordered before it gets here(about 2.5weeks) I am mounting a Burris 3-9x40. Its going to be my hunting rifle so would like scope low as possible. Looked at Burris xtreme rings but high looked little low and xHigh looked to high. Which one do I need? I got the dust cover and FA so the top rail is lower then the slck side upper one. Thanks for the help

I have the same upper and used extra high Weaver Quad locks to mount a 6.5-20x50 Barska scope. The lens cover would not fit without a cutout in it. I think you could use the high rings but if you're not getting local it can be a pain in the butt. I got the Weaver rings at wally world so it wasn't that big a deal if I had to change them.

I mounted a 3-9x40 on my DPMS with the extra high rings.  Mine is the L version so it has the carbon fiber handguard, from the bottom of the objective lens to the handguard turned out to be ~7/8" and from the rear bell to the charging handle is 3/4".  I really wanted to be sure to have enough room to easily pull the charging handle, which this allows, but seeing how it turned out I would seriously consider dropping to the highs...

Lets see if I can post a picture...
