How do you guys feel about the Barrett 6.8 piston rifle

Your going to get as many variations on answers (opinions) to that as a "what's better, .40 or 9mm?" thread.

There are lots of arguments in favor of the 6.8. BUT, there are many drawbacks, such as price of ammo. You might want to spend some time on http://www.68forums.com/ Personally, I like the 6.8 SPC.

Stag makes a nice 6.8 upper that is a little more affordable than Barrett.

I was really wanting to now what people thought of the Barrett. I have already decided to buy a 6.8 and wanted to now if the REC 7 was worth the price

I got to fondle one at a local gun shop. Very nice, very heavy. The whole system is pretty solid. However, I didn't have $2400 to drop on it, and I have two 6.8s already.

I have owned a few of the Barrett's 6.8 piston rifles, REC7's and M468's, they are top of the line! and the most accurate semi auto rifle I have ever fired. You won't be disspointed with a Barrett rifle in any caliber.
