I have a 16 inch 308 sportical.It has a rear sling swivel but nowhere on front to attach.How have some of you attached a sling.

swap out the handgaurds for a free float rail system or a rail system that may not be free float but replaces the hand gaurds. or attach a rail to the hand gaurds and the use on of the rail mounted sling swivels.

I put a Harris bi-pod adapter on my lower handguard, works for sling or bi-pod..

This is what I'm thinking of doing to mine.
I might go with Magpul MOE handguards and put a swivel on them.

Or just go with a single point sling. I'm leaning away from that tho because I want to set the rifle up for deerhunting.

On the Sportical Ive noticed on that block at the muzzle end of the barrel,it has 2 holes.Are these threaded ,can someting be attached there such as a swivel?
