Looking to have a custom barrel made for my DPMS - I am looking for a list of standard barrel profiles: Light, medium, heavy.
Any help would be appreciated. Looking for 18" and 20" profiles.

TIA

Don't try to order from the place, but he has good info:

That would be a very long list considering every manufacturer has a slightly different version of the same things. Are you looking for a special brand?

I am looking for the same thing –– a light/medium profile barrel in 20 inch.  The heavy 20" barrel on my LR-308C makes the rifle too heavy.

I know its not DPMS, but I love the Infantry weight AR10 barrel I have...........  Yeah, when it gets hot, it opens up a bit, but not enough to matter to me..

The problem is that no one really lists the profiles of their barrels. The AR15barrels site lists AR15 profiles - but not A10 profiles.
I am thinking of having a Lothar-Walther LW50 barrel made and they will cut to my specification. I was just curious as to what is "standard" in the AR10 relm if that makes since. For instance: breech diameter on .223 is typically .980 and .308 it 1.200.
I already have a Armalite SASS and I am trying to put together a "combat rifle" with good handling and accuracy - but not another SASS. You follow me? I don't like pencil barrels - but I don't want a bull either - something in the middle. Everything is a trade off - I have carried some heavy rifles / MG : it gets old real fast on a long hump.

go to the lilja site.  He gives specs on several 308 barrel profiles.  A bit cryptic but it should get you started.

ETA:  the krieger drop-in barrels are a heavy profile, so may not be what you are looking for in this build.

We should arrange a small DPMS barrel group buy.
