Just completed my DPMS LR308 build and need to select a muzzle device.  Avoiding and loss of accuracy is my number one concern, followed by recoil reduction with as little added sound as possible.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

I use a bennie coolie comp from JP enterprise. Its effective. Reduces recoil, however when there is a plus there WILL be minus.... its like a handoff if you will, The poor guys shooting to either side of you will wish not to be there. I posted this thread about my best group with my 24" 308 last weekend. As you can see it is still VERY accurate, and you can see the gun a few post down.

However when you redirect gases, you will increase noise.

I have a PRI on my 20 " HB & its great . The shooters next to me said it wasn't what he thought a brake would be like , he didn't notice it at all . I had one custom cut for my 0.875 dia bbl..

Harrell's Precision has a excellent rep from everything I've read on snipercentral/snipershide and they are only $30:

I wanted a SS one since I have a 24" LR-308 and think the bluded brake on SS barrell just looks a little funny.  Thinking about sending mine to ADCO to get threaded.

Wow, their brakes are reasonably priced.  I dunno about how effective they are at flash suppression, but perhaps they were not designed to be.

Why put a muzzle device on it at all?

The BBL is already threaded

Yeah, that would look silly without one then

I've contemplated this one from PWS.

I don't plan on threading my barrel until I'm ready to put a suppressor on it.
