I just ordered a PRI brake for my LR 308 ( build ) . I had them cut one to match my 0.875" od ,20" bbl.. ( 0.950" dia. of brake ,tapered to the 0.875 ")I looked at the one that FA (where I got the bbl )sells for the .0875 hb and it looked a little too large ,any thing to keep the weight down . I looked at most of the other offerings and its like comparing apples to oranges , so to speak. I was woundering if any here have used a PRI brake & what did you think about it .
I have an opertunity to fire the rife ( for the first time ) tomarrow with out the brake of course ,so I can see the diff. before & after, when it gets here ,they said they would ship today.I will be curious about accuracy , with & with out and will post some results. |
| Man O man, what a rifle . My first shooting of a 308 based AR .All mags worked with out a hitch ,both C -mags & DPMS. about 200 rds. , ran smooth . I am very impressed with the DPMS & Krieger (criterion ) bbl. ,day tIme and the muzzle flash was impressive .Did not bother with sighting her in, just a function test, just to make sure I can build a .308 & not just a 5.56. That HB sure kept the muzzle down ,can't wait to see how the brake works. Now I can inspect & clean and load up some match bullets and see how she does.Trigger has some creep , but breaks clean , but I will take care of that after a few hundred more rounds. |
