| Has anybody upgraded their old AR15 style stop to the new heavier stop? Are they the same as the Armalite stop? I see they are only about $7 a piece so I don't think you can go wrong. |

They look to be similar in size in the pics I have seen. I have not seen one in person so I can't really compare them. |

The finger on the Armalite Gen 2 bolt stop is shorter than the finger on the DPMS stop. The short finger isn't always activated by the mag follower. Do you mean Gen 1? It's whatever you call the bolt stop that is supposed to work with Armalite Gen 2 magazines. The finger on the Armalite stop (that the mag follower pushes) isn't as long as the DPMS finger. The Armalite finger also sits lower than the DPMS finger. This is because the Armalite and DPMS followers are different and each follower relies on a different area to push the bolt stop finger. |
