I am new to the AR platform ,so new I do not even have my first one out of layaway yet .Its a Remington R-25 308 , I assumed all ar-308s were the same so I bought a real nice Badger Ordnance free float handguard off the E&E at A very good price and it very nice, my newbie problem is its for a AR-10 and not for a DPMS which I am fairly sure who made my Remington.I contacted Marty at Badger Ordnance to see if I could order the right barrel nut but he refused to help me.So now what are my options? Thanks Mark.

You must have the right nut.  No two ways about it.   Since the R-25 is camo, not sure if the badger would even look right.   It comes with a free float tube, so no gain there.  You need specials tools to swap it out, even if you had the right nut.  Sell the handguard, more trouble than its worth.

Remember rule #1:

There is no substitute for trigger time.  Spend your money on practice ammo.

Thats probably the route I will have to go, cause I can't find the right nut,I offered Bad-Ord the ar-10 nut I have and to purchase a DPMS nut but Marty refused, I guess he does not owe me any customer service since I bought it secondhand, I just thought it would be nice .
