The first hurdle for your smith is gonna be getting the RRA tube off. Apparently they loc-tite the heck out of them, and the folks who have reported on removing them say it was a real bear.
The only other obvious upper situation could be the new ejection port. I do not know if the Stealth is already opened for larger calibers, but the 458S does require a significantly larger ejection port (over the 556). If the new upper has an ejection port cover, then you will have a fine balancing act to play, removing metal from the top and bottom, to keep the cover functioning. Craig |
| Yeah, It looked like blue Loc tite every where when the tube was removed. I will measure the ejection port and see. I could not tell much difference in size looking at it with door on it. I assume I can use the ejection port door from the RRA along with everything else. Thanks |
