From what I have read hear all I'll need to change my .223 DPMS AR into a 6.8 SPC AR is a complete upper and new mags, right?  Well, what about the recoil spring and buffer?  If the 6.8 has 80% of the power of a .308 then it would seem that the .223 spring and buffer would be way to weak to handle that much recoil with out 'bashing' something in the lower.  Am I missing something here or what?

In my experience, the standard spring and buffer are just fine.

And a 6.8spc bolt to go along with the upper and mags.
