I am considering the purchase of a ferrett .50.  Anyone know what these are worth?

Should I look into getting a different type of 50BMG upper for my AR?  I am trying to trade 100oz of silver and my RRA 9mm upper (and extras).

Not trying to make a deal in this forum just want advice from the pros.

Thanks

HI:
I personally know the guy that makes the Ferette .50. We are not good friends or anything. I have not seen him in years. But I can tell you a few things. For one thing he is a total obsessive compulsive perfectionest when it comes to hwat he makes. He works day & night to make it perfect and he only uses the very best parts to start with (like lothar walther bbls) and he has the best machines to use (HASS CNC machines worth more than a 1/3 million) a few yeara ago he was selling the uppers for no less than $1,400 to $2,200 depending on options. Although I think his is probably the best of the "AR-upper" type I personally still prefer a complete factory gun like a Barett or AI-50

Hey I'm new to this Ferret 50 upper.  A friend mentioned it and I'm trying to look into it.  If I'm correct, the Ferret 50 fits the AR15 upper...but which caliber?  The 5.56 or 308 platform?   Thanks

The Ferret 50 is in 50 BMG. I have been a member of the FCSA for a long time, and can't recall anything bad ever being said about them.

ETA it fits on the AR-15 platform.
