How difficult is yours to put in?  I literally have to tap mine in with a punch and small hammer.  The firing pin floats freely once it's installed and I can't see any burrs in the hole but it is very difficult to get in and back out.

I just got a new retaining pin in today and it's the same way.

Better tight than loose.  Mine got loose over time, and fell out one time when I was putting the carrier in.  If you shoot the weapon without the retaining pin, the firing pin can get jammed in the most spectacular places.

That was a headache I will not repeat.

Mine has been loose since day one.  I tried new pins, spreading the old pin, still loose as a goose.  In two the pins are tight, but the first one, no dice.  Turn it sideways and the pin falls out.  I agree, count your blessings that it is tight and not as loose as one of mine is.
