I'm looking for opinions and resources on the better semi-auto sniper configurations.

KAC - I swear by the SR-15.....love it and would like to buy a SR-25.  They are difficult to find currently and can run 13k for the desired model.  I do not mind paying for a top quality product, but thats a big pill right now.

Noveske? - No direct experience, but has a good rep.

DPMS?
Armalite?

I went with a Noveske upper on an Armalite lower. You should also strongly consider a GAP built AR10 or DPMS based rifle.

I have a DPMS TAC20 (20"H-bar) and it shoots sub-MOA, and runs perfectly. I can't think of a single reason to spend a ton more money on a more expensive brand. As a matter of fact, I like it so much that I want another one.

Try the GAP AR10. They're as accurate as the come and fairly reasonable compared to the other high end 7.62 AR's. Their is one on SnipersHide.com right now. Very nice

Very surprised at my DPMS LR308. Great rifle and not too costly. Right now you are going to be limited bye availability. Most places are sold out with a 6-12month weight

BiggerStick47... I am new to AR variants, can you tell me a little more about your rifle?  Is that an AR10 and is the AR10 just an AR15 in .308?

Thanks

I know where there is a new LR-308 sitting if you are interested. Price is $1169. I almost bought it on the 3rd for $969  Hind sight is 20/20

I got a DPMS LR-308L two weeks ago but haven't had a chance to do anything with it yet.

You should consider having Patriot Arms build you an AR10. Call and talk to Dave or Jared.

I had a DPMS 308B that hit where I aimed at 700 yards as fast as I could pull the trigger.  I wish I wouldn't have had to have sold it.

Hey I bought a REMINGTON R-25 thinking if I didn't like I would sell it. Well the gun works with every type of ammo I've tried . I bought a bunch of DPMS MAGS FROM 44mag.com A+. I don't like the camo but it can be changed, a lot of people paint there guns. I guess you could paint it the same color as the sr-25 the tan one .
The DPMS (REMINGTON ) USE THE SAME MAGAZINES AS THE SR25 .
The barrel can be threaded for a flash hider or suppressor. Anyhow I would give the gun an A FOR OVERALL RATING.

$1299.00 AT CABELAS AND   $30.00 OFF ON POINTS.

Surprised that no on has mentioned JP Rifles.  I haven't shot the 308 but the CTR-02 in 223 is top notch.  When I get a 308, it will be a JP Rifle.

I really like the DPMS.  I has proven very accurate straight from the factory.

Any opinions on the POF ones?
