Hello,

I am expecting my 308 any day now.  In all of my other AR-15's I have (and love) the RRA 2 stage trigger.  I am wondering if I can drop one into my new 308 without any problems??  I read on the DPMS page about people having to take some material off to make it function.  Has anyone intalled one of these triggers, and did you or didn't you have any problems??

I am also wondering if the winter trigger guard upgrade will fit on the 308 receiver??  I am thinking not, but thought I would ask anyways,

Thanks for the insight,
drmikeyj

The DPMS 308 uses a standard AR trigger, I don't know about the RRA trigger but I have put the JP triggers into them without any problems.

You cannot replace the trigger guard on the receiver it is milled into it not installed.

I installed a RRA 2 stage in  my LR308T and had to stone off the top corner of the hammer. It's no problem- easy to do.

My RRA NM 2 stage went in with no probs.  Some people have to take a wee bit off.  Either way, easy as pie.

Now for my Geiselle trigger (and if you want a good trigger, forget the RRA, go with the Geiselle) I had to shave a blond butthair's worth of material off the safety.

I had to file off just a small amount on the hammer of my RRA 2-stage to allow my bolt carrier to move without interference.  Here's a picture showing how little there was that had to be removed.  Now it works great.

I just installed the RRA trigger in my dpms 308, looks like i have to stone off the hammer too, it drags on the carrier when cycling

I have the RRA two stage from the factory. The hammer surface on it has been ground down so I imagine it's necessary. It's no big deal, just touch the area in the picture to a grinding wheel. Mine's done at a 45 degree angle to the hammer face. Good trigger.
