Hey guys where do I get a DPMS Tac 20 extractor? Brownells do not list them and DPMS makes you buy the whole kit(about $80.00) ????

I am a new DPMS customer. I ordered several parts after I recently bought a new LR 260. It took over two weeks for them to ship with no explanation, and I had to send one part back that would not fit. They should have known an AR 15 rear tension pin would not work in a LR 260, so I had  to pay to send it back. I have no idea if I ever received credit or a refund? That was over a week ago. And they also had parts on my order that were backordered and never told me. I found out when I finally received the package of the wrong parts when I read the invoice. I canceled everything and bought elsewhere.
I finally ordered from a company that sent my parts out the same day I bought them. I'll be ordering from the company that sends the right parts the same day they are ordered from now on. Thanks Creedmore Sports.
I wouldn't order from DPMS unless I absolutely had to.

I guess I am really disapointed in DPMS. I purchased the tac 20 and have fired less then 80 rounds and the extractor broke. I really like the rifle it just kinda gripes me to have to pay 39.95 for a new extractor. "The 223 version is 16.95." Come on DPMS dont ruin a good thing.

They may be in a low morale mode after Ceberus bought them out and many wonder what the direction of the company may be and not paying attention.IMO maybe you soon see a DPMSBUSH battle rifle soon aimed at the military sector with a joining of the two companies

did you call them?  i broke a bolt catch and they sent a replacement out immediately, and another when i sent the broke one back for them to inspect.  i was waiting for 10rd mags for months when they were first coming out, they sent me two free 20 rounders for free since i sent my plastic ones back and had none.

This is what I sent them.

I have a Tac 20 that I purchased new. The extractor broke after about 76 rounds. That made me unhappy…..but I really became unhappy when I tried to purchase one. Why can I not just purchase the extractor without buying the whole kit….that is just rubbing salt into my wounds……

This is there reply.

You can purchase the extractor only. The part # is 308-BT-07.

Don't support businesses that treat customers like crap. You should have a new part free of charge for your rifle. Screw them, buy elsewhere and never buy any of their crap again. I know I won't.

When companies get too big for the britches they shit on the customer and could care less. And soon hopefully they will be belly up.

The point everyone else has been trying to make is that they really will replace it for free when he gets around to contacting the service department with his issue.  he originally asked where he could buy one and folks, including DPMS, answered that question.  OP should call the service dept. the phone # is on their website

The DPMS service dept bent over backwards for me.  Helps to be polite when you talk to them.

This is what they do if you contact them directly and give the the information in a clear way.

Here is the thing: it does not matter if it is DPMS, Armalite, Bushmaster, etc. They are all the same, if you buy a rifle from them they want you t obe happy weith it. PERIOD!

It is possible for any company to be out of stock on something, or to have a new person who know nothing, anyone can make a mistake in order processing or shipping.  But clear polite communication will get you taken care of.

Hello Radshooter,
I had the extractor break on my new LR-308T (52 rounds new).  After calling DPMS, Steve gave me their UPS shipping number and had me ship the whole bolt.  The new extractor was installed and in my rifle by that weekend.  I believe that I have posted this somewhere else on the boards when someone else had a similar problem.
I'm sorry that I did not directly answer your question? Perhaps the thread got sidetracked.  You will notice a lot of DPMS owners that are very happy with their rifle and the company despite not posting a lot.  Or maybe the shake-up has caused some service delays, which happens when your company gets purchase by a giant two-headed devildog. :)
