hello all, I have a Bushmaster 308 and was wanting to buy some spare parts. Are any of the parts interchangeable with other 308 models? If so, which ones. I am interested in buying a spare bolt, lower parts, and maybe a spare barrel. thanks for the help Ret03 |
| About 60% of the parts were advertised as interchangable - contact Bushmaster and see if they will send you a copy of the parts diagram they had in their 2005 or 2006 sales brochure which outlined the interchangable ones - it was the year they introduced the rifle. Basically the bolt and carrier group, barrel group and buffer and spring are specific to the 308 if I remember correctly. |

A lot of the small parts (pins and springs and other "common" parts), as well as the trigger group, and some specific components like mag buttons, grips, etc...are interchangeable with the AR/LAR-15 platform, but the receivers, carrier group, barrels and extensions, bolt olt and mag catches, multiple internal parts, the charging handle, and anything else caliber specific (essentially all MAJOR components except the trigger group) are model specific to the larger platform.
