A little 10.5", 6.8 SPC, gas-piston bit of heaven from LWRC complete with AAC M42K, Troy sights, Geissele trigger and Aimpoint CompML3 on a Larue QD mount. The Aimpoint 3X magnifier on a Larue Pivot QD mount is on backorder.

Here's mine--finished it up this morning.  Nothing fancy.....just a Stag 5H upper on a Doublestar lower--but depending on how it shoots when I sight it in today, it's going to be my new swamp trompin' pig/deer hunting rifle

Before you ask--the light and sling are mounted on the wrong side because I'm a lefty.  I opted for the right handed upper because that's what I'm used to shooting, and if I ever decide to sell it, it's easier to move than a dedicated left handed model.

Decided to go a different route with my 68. Set it up for more of a hunting application. Im quite pleased. Just waiting on the C Products 5rd mags to show up.

A new 6.8 is born:

Dennys' 16" SS Recon barrel (SAAMI unfortunately) with a RRA 6.8 A2 flash-hider.
Generic dual rail gas block with a GGG flip up front sight
Generic mid-length handguards
Daniel Defense upper receiver
LMT Bolt carrier w/whatever bolt Dennys sells with their barrel
Troy folding rear battle sight
LMT Defender 2000 lower assy
Aimpoint Comp ML2 on a Larue mount (temporary until I can afford an Aimpoint T1).

I may or may not get the barrel painted, as the matte finish doesn't look all that bad. I had thougth of Ion Bonding it, but given the long turnaround time (2 months or so), I don't think I want it out of my hands that long.  We'll see.

The crush washer that RRA includes with their A2 flash hider was just awful to install. I had to remove .027 from the thickness in order to index the flash hider; whew what a chore. I Locktite 242'd it just to be on the safe side.

The barrel may get the SPC2 chamber modification depending on whether I see any pressure signs with SSA combat loads - it's supposed to be able to handle them w/o difficulty.

Cardinal Armory 6.8 SPC 16" Lightweight Midlength Barrel
Yankee Hill - Cardinal Armory Custom - Midlength Smooth Forearm
Armalite Brake
GB Aluminum Gas Block
Mega Upper
Mega Charging Handle with Badger Tac-latch II

Mega Lower
Stag LPK
DPMS A2 Stock
Tango Down Grip
Magpul Trigger Guard
CProducts Magazines

ADM Recon 30mm mount
Burris Euro 30mm 3-9x40mm BallisticPlex Optic

I weighed it without the optic, it came in right at 7 lbs.
8 lbs 5oz with the optic and mount.
It balances, even with the optic, right at the midpoint of the magwell.

FIRST OFF SWEET GUN. LOOKS BAD ASS. I am going to build a 6.8. What is the barrel length on that. What twist is it also. What brand upper, barrel, lower, etc. Is that a real supressor.

Thanks!
