Other than appearance and mounting accessories what if any advantage does the quadrail have over the aluminum freefloat tube?

I think it will be cheaper to just have the brake and hand guard painted with a flame and have a panther painted on the buttstock.  Maybe an antenna with either a coons tail or propeller.  Seriously holding one of the quad rails is like picking up an aligator by the tail.  My aluminum tube is comfortable to hold especially when shooting the 308........the Hogue tube might be more comfortable but they didn't have one in stock when I ordered and I wanted instant gratification.

I see YHM has 2 piece rails.  At my age impressing the chicks is a very long shot but it might be worth a try.  I doubt if the senior center allows folks to carry  AR15s in.

Solid tubes hold heat.  No ventilation is bad.

I like my LR308 a whole lot more since I ghot rid of that round FF tube.  I put on a Badger ordinance stabilizer and love it.  that round tube was very unnatural to hold.
