Rambo, for what it's worth, i paid $2100 for the Barrett M468 For about $2300 i could have bought the LMT (Lewis Machine) AR15 with the quick detach (two bolts) barrel which included the 6.8 barrel that they make. 'Two guns' for the price of one...almost. Leitner Weise makes nice stuff also, i read about the gas piston system, it's very good, lighter recoil and less fouling (shoot more/clean less), but they don't offer the 6.8 yet. I know in Oct. Bushmaster is coming out with their 6.8, i'm sure it'll be priced competitively...so you have a few options. I just wanted A BARRETT. Are there other options, better options for the money? Yes. You might want to wait a bit still, until everyone else jumps on the 6.8 bandwagon. I'll tell you what though, this Barrett is one fine piece of machinery, silky smooth action and a light/crisp icycle trigger. Do me a favor, if you do buy the select fire collaps. stock Barrett or if you are going to talk to Barrett about it, ask them what they use for a CAR BUFFER in it. What type of buffer is it, H, H2, H3, 9mm car buffer...etc. |
