[ARCHIVED THREAD] - 17 Mach IV

Has anyone run a 17 Mach 4 in a AR-15. Can it be done? Do regular 223 mags work or do I have to build a custom lower with different mags?

I am currently building a lower from billet and would like to make it into a Mach 4 but would like to know that it at least has a chance of working before I get too carried away.

I have built about ten uppers in 17 Mach IV. They feed fine from standard magazines.

I just shipped one last week with a Pac-Nor polygonal barrel. That was the very first Polygonal 17 cal barrel that Pac-Nor ever made.
