Is there a gun underneath all of that stuff?

Details, my man! I think I see a 24" SS barrel with a muzzle brake, Magpul PRS, and DD freefloat rail? What kind of brake is that? |
||
|
It was built by G.A. Precision (www.gaprecision.net) Its a guaranteed 1/2 moa stick (with factory match ammo) so far the largest group has been just under 1/2 moa @ 100 yds with FED match 168's. I have only ben able to put 70 rds down the tube so far but it should tighten up even more once the barrel is broken in & I'm shooting the 175 BH fodder it was set up for. The Super Sniper is a temp optic until I can get a USO SN3 on it. Here is the parts list: DPMS AP4 upper and lower Tuned up 2.5 lb single stage trigger (you would have to ask GAP what kind it is) KMS anti walk pins hand lapped 20" Rock 5R barrel 1/10 twist in .308 WIN with a BO muzzle break Daniel Defense rail Harris bipod with KMS pod lock Magpul MIAD grip and PRS stock SS 10x on BO 30mm rings |

DIdn't I say you'd love it!?!?!
Did you like the felt-like material in the stock? Stuff I got a million years ago when working for an automotive material supplier. They were throwning out this 4' wide roll of that stuff. Its like 12 ' long and I've used it for so many things. Seems pretty sticky ven when wet. |

Hey Wirebrush,
That is one sweet rifle. Details? Do I read some of you right? You've had your rifle re-chambered to shoot the 300 Winchester Short Magnum? |
|
|
Hey guys new to site and cant quite figure out how to post pictures. Can anybody help me out? I tried to use the search function but turned up no results.

Mine is a home build. I found the complete lower on Gunbroker and added: AP4 upper and JP VTAC hand guard from Randall at ar15barrels.com that was someone else's abandoned project. I then ordered the barrel and brake from JP Enterprises. The Jard trigger and Ace stock were EE finds. It is a near copy of the rifle offered by JP, but a saved a few hundred bucks by doing it myself. It will put 10 rounds into an inch at 100 yards and it is still fairly light. |

Unless you are a paying Team Member (with photo space here on the site, one of the perks ), you must host the pic somewhere else (many folks use photobucket.com) and post here using the code or a link. |

All of the additional pictures are cool, but I think this thread should be reserved for untraditional AR chamberings. (IE; Not .223/5.56)
You will need to find a host for your picture. Sign up at photobucket.com, and then you will need to upload (by clicking browse and finding the file) the picture you want off of your computer. Once it is hosted online, you simply copy the image link, and paste it here like you did with the file name "308ar". In fact, Photobucket has three text bars below each picture, The last one should already have the tags, so you can just highlight and copy it, then paste it here with no additional work. |

Ahhhh...some lovely weapons, folks! Howdy! No pics from me (yet), I have been sleazing around here for a few weeks. Had to see 3 dealers before I found one with the tenacity to actually take on the feat of placing an order for me! I now have a 6-8 week wait for my Southpaw Panther Bull 20. Can't wait! Glass is next. Having no problems, I have a very high SAF (Spouse Accepttance Factor). Will post a pic when I have her in my hands.

Thanks for noticing.
From the first toy gun he got I started training him as to cheek weld, trigger placement, etc. Never too young to learn good habits. Was funny when about a year ago he and I goto the store and he begs for this very cool camo'd M16 toy gun. I relent (the wife wasn't there to stop me!) and buy it. Here's my son walking out of the store holding the rifle patrol carry scanning the parking lot as he "walks point" in front of me to the car! It was hysterical! Poor guys gonna be warped! Kids are great. |

I finally set my AP4 set-up like I wanted it (Coyote Brown furniture) and took some pics. (Forgive the untrimmed ladder rails -- that's on my to=-do list, but I wanted to try it all out at the range and be sure I was going to keep this color/configuration before I cut anything. as expected, it all worked out fine together. )
I like this rifle even more than I expected to... now I'm wanting the long-range version. |

Damn HardShell how mant AR's do you have-I'm jealous |
||
|
Don't be jealous -- they don't all behave like they should and they can be very expansive to feed. (The AR is my very favorite rifle platform. I currently have 29 variants, but I am in the process of selling or trading away at least two or three of those... ) |
