DPMS has their SASS clone on the website now.

Not crazy abou the YHM tube.  I got one in the carbine length and it was heavier than a full length SWS tube.

Very nice.But I'de like to have a standard A2 grip and w/out the BUIS's.They also list a 260REM.I saw a 243WIN advertised in a Shotgun News.

Sorry for the double post.

It weighs a ton.....second only to the AR-10 boat anchor. The KAC is svelte in comparison. The BUIS were specified for SASS.

If thats what they are offering as their SASS, then I'll pass and build one up the way I want.
I definetely don't like the YH tube (prefer something else), grip (I'd go with the Sierra Precision SPR grip) as well as the stock (I could live with the VLtor, but have to admit I'm not a huge fan of them).

It might be really nice to lose the BUIS, Grip, and Vltor.  Put a different grip on of your choice, and a nice magpul PRS.

I want a .308 but have not made up my mind and now armalite is coming out with their gas piston SASS.
My brother also just picked up a AP4 at the end of last year so I want to see how it functions this summer.  I may just get one of their SASSs.

Armalite is NOT coming out with a piston SASS.  It will have an adjustable gas block is all.

Friend of mine bought one of their (DPMS) standard M4 .308's without a railed FF tube and he loves it. Says its very accurate.
