Looks like you are one of the first to get the new design mags we have been working on. I have been looking to upgrade the mags for over a year now both for the finish and the components. The steel mags will rust if exposed to salt water and the springs seem to take a set. With the new mags I have a sufficiently ridgid aluminum to allow me to use this for the body, the spring profile is better and I have employed chrome silicon right from the start. The mags are also slightly longer which allows the follower to stop the cartridge base moving out of position. Finally the finish is the current military non stick so they stand up better in the sand than the original steel mags and strip easier for cleaning. Following requirements from a number of our customers, I have used the new design as the basis to expand the capacity beyond the 7 we have always used previously. I have recently signed off a 10 round design and I should have completed the initial shipments and be in a position to start offering these in the very near future. The cost is very competative with the existing 7 round capacity units. Bill Alexander |
