OK I bought my Beowulf to hunt Boar with...What optic should I use? I have an EOTECH 552 on my USC45. I alos have an AIMPOINT COMP XD laying around. Is the 1X Scope ideal for Boar hunting? Would I need magnification? This rifle will down a deer. Should I buy a dual use scope for both animals? Also, would an ACOG be good and if so which type? I like the one with the small sites on top of it but I know some of those are made for a .223. Which one would be good for a .50...or would it be more suited to a .223? HELP?? Opinions? Alan |
ACOG bad Ju Ju! Too short eye relief...If you like Red Dots and can shoot with them at distance's than use them. It all depends on what you like to use. A lot of people use the 2-7 or the 1-5's I have a 2-7 with Leupold QR rings that I used on my Wulf...If you want to buy it I'll sell it to you for 165.00 shipped it's a Bushnell 322732M 3200 2-7x32 95% and I used it recently on my Savage 10FP and it has no problems with precsion shooting.
