Finally got the 'wulf to the range to do some sighting in. Started at 50 yards. Shoot, adjust, shoot, adjust, clean, etc. Adjustments were on track, so I went to 100 yards. First adjustments were as expected, then started vertical stringing. By the time I gave up, vertical spread was 8-10" shot-to-shot. My first suspect is the scope. I'll swap it out and try again first chance I get.
Anyone else have vertical stringing trouble?
FWIW, scope is a Target Sports 10 x 42.

I never ran into that problem.  Although I never really trained engaging targets past about 50 meters.  I had an EOTech mounted.  It was pinpoint accurate.

been out to 100yds a few times with great results, but it was with irons and it grouped real well

Finally figured out the vertical stringing problem. I was shooting off the bench, with the handguard on a sandbag that was sitting on the rest. My left hand was holding the magwell. Just as a test, I let the mag and pistol grip rest on the sandbags, and ditched the benchrest. Lo and behold, my groups tightened up. Guess I'll get rid of the standard handguards, and go with a free-float. Apparantly that thin-walled barrel doesn't like any pressure om it.

That sounds odd as I have a harris bipod attached to the stock hand guards and im getting 1"-2 " groups at 100yd . Maby im just lucky or maby mine will do better yet with a FF . I may have to ck this out .

Just a thought but I wonder if your barrel might be loose .

No way. I pulled the barrel off to thread it for a muzzle brake, and naturally when I went to put it back on, the barrel nut snugged up just past a notch. I had to give it about 80 or 90 ft/lbs to get it to the next notch.

Bill Alexander told me that the barrel (rifle) will start to move while the bullet is still in the barrel. When shooting off sandbags you need to muscle the gun to keep it from moving.
