First is a POF Rogue in factory ODG, 13.7" pinned and welded. It's a work in progress. I'm actually using the rifle as a base for a 14.5" 6.5 Creedmoor build, MRGG-A style. So it's getting a Mos-Tek conversion barrel and I should have that mid-December. Otherwise new furniture, Geissele trigger, all the accessories as well as thermal and NV options. I have a PLxC 1-8 on there now as I'm trying to keep the weight down and hope that, naked, it'll be just under 6 pounds once I'm done. If you're not familiar with the POF Revolution/Rogue, they are literally the size and weight of an AR15. Out of the box, both the Rogue and Revolution are less than seven pounds. The Revolution uses billet upper/lower with a trigger well bolt lock and full ambidextrous controls while the Rogue is forged upper/lower and thus less expensive, with no trigger well bolt lock or ambidextrous bolt release. They've started offering the Rogue with nitrided barrels and adjustable gas blocks which is a major step up. I bought mine recently and there's zero slop between the upper and lower receivers and the overall build quality is impeccable. They've really stepped up their game as far as I can tell.  Next, POF Revolution DI, 16.5" POF barrel. This gun has been consistently sub-MOA since I've owned it, purchased new back in 2019. I've already shot out one barrel and am on my second factory barrel since 2019. Yes, I shoot it quite a bit. Scope is a Steiner 2-12 MIL, Geissele SSA-E w/Xbow, Hux Flow 762Ti and Magpul furniture.  Small update, the lower on the 6.5CM is now built-out. Using a Smoke Composites A5 carbon buffer tube with a nylon spacer, Tubb flat wire spring and the standard 3oz. buffer for now. Added some V Seven titanium bits, mag release, end plate, castle nut, rear takedown pin, etc... The scope with mount, red dot and caps came in at 26oz. I migrated over to a Driven Arms grip since the Smoke Composites buffer tube doesn't work with the POF castle nut/end plate. As such, a grip with a big beaver tail looks rather strange due to the gap created by the new end plate. Still waiting on the barrel which was supposed to ship on December 15th. In the meantime, I'm prepping 1K worth of brass and will do initial ladder loads for at least five different powders to see what might work with a shorter barrel.

It used to wear a BCM handguard, but I more recently changed that out for a URX 3.1 Attached File Attached File And then I still have the 16" mid-gas Rogue upper that's currently wearing a longer URX rail. I've been chasing tail for about 2 years and I can say I finally got this pig to run. I have about 130ish rounds down range without any stoppages and I think I found load that this rifle likes along with a handload it also enjoys. Areo Upper and Lower reciever set Larue MBT A5 buffer tube, rifle length extra power spring and I belive an H3 buffer RCA BCG Faxon duty series 16in barrel w/SA AGB & huxworks ventum 7.62 Athlon 2.5-12 BTR w/larue spr 1.5 mount Magpul bipod & Streamlight WML Attached File 5 shot group of Remington Premier Match 168grn BTHP Matchking Attached File |

I'm debating whether I want to bother. 50 rounds of 308 in 4-5 seconds is quite, quite expensive, even with my stockpile of steel case. I'm not sure I want to burn hundreds of rounds troubleshooting reliability, either. |

Without it, it still has quite a bit of recoil compared to anything else I own.I built one to compare to a factory DD M5 308 16" that cost quite a bit more. With match ammo they are roughly comparable (1.25" average MOA). for "out of the box" the DD just worked. The Aero was a giant PITA, and....took it out in the cold the other day and it acted really weird, very strange recoil impulse, slow then violent, then started to fail to extract. I have not bothered to look at since... |

Thank you. It’s been a minute since I’ve been on here lol. I forgot about the yearly subscription and couldn’t figure out an image to save my life 🤣 I’ve owned a couple of their uppers with zero issue. Some have all the issues, some have none. They aren’t “fighting” quality by any means. But they work. I actually just ordered a 7.62x39 upper from them. I didn’t get side charging. If / when the extractor fails, I’d rather be able to swap it easily than ordering another side charger. |
