I'm using a Geiselle Super Gas Block with a MI MLOK Handguard (Gen 2)  Gas block was pinned and I'm pretty proud of myself for doing it right.

I wanna say the clearance is a little more than 1/32. A business card does slide through just barely.

I can also see light from the muzzle end when a light is shined through the mlok slots of the rail.

Do you think it would have any issues while shooting? Worst case scenerio I've been looking for an excuse to upgrade my rail.

Edited Because I'm stupid

Good catch pez

Mine is touching.  No issues.  SLR with a MI on a Larue Stealth barrel.

I need to take a couple thousandths off just for sanity.  I can't believe I have put it off this long.

I don't think it would cause any mechanical/function issues.

I was wondering about the overall accuracy/precision. Basically if it's touching the free floating is gone. But it is still nowhere as bad as having a 2 piece hand guard attached to the gas block/delta ring.

If I grab the barrel and pull down ward, the hand guard flexes and touches the gas block. I haven't been able to do this off of a barricade rest though. I'm debating on using a file myself, or just upgrading my free float handguard.

What kills me is MI came out with the Gen 3 a month after I got my Gen 2 MLOK.

I bet it would be a loss on the EE either way.

You need to learn fractions . 2/16" is 1/8" which is a lot of clearance. 1.5/32" is 3/64" which isn't very much clearance but could be enough. Whatever it is, if you have a lightweight barrel and/or your hand guard flexes a lot, you need more clearance than if you have a heavy barrel and/or your hand guard doesn't flex. It wouldn't hurt to remove some material from the ribs on the Geissele gas block IMO.

Man I had a really bad brain fart sorry, been a long day x_x.

So I wanna say its somewhere between 1/32, and 3/64" of a gap

Ordered an ALG EMR 2, I did some reading and these werw pretty much made with the Geisselle super gas block in mind. The ID is slightly larger so I should get more clearance.

Also it looks like they used that very gas block in their schematic.

Looks like my MI rail will be on the EE soon at a very reduced price.

As long as the uninstall is as smooth as the install was.

MI rail is .130 ID
