Saw these are on sale for $999 on various vendor sites. Seems like a decent deal given that they come with the complete BCM BCG, with the additions I would've put on anyways (Grip, mod 4 charging handle, BCM trigger? - ok so maybe not this particular trigger, QD endplate), and has a bare fore-end so I can attach the MLOK handguard.
I priced out the upper with the BCG and the complete lower, and it seems will run me more than $999, and will also have a keymod / quadrail handguard which is not what I want. I have various magpul buttstocks I can slap on, so I would really have to add on a MLOK rail to complete the recce rifle. Looking at this or a DDM V7 lightweight with MLOK handguard for a HD/range toy/possible future competition gun build. The DDM V7 LW will run me in the range of $1300 but it will have everything I want pre-installed except the BCM furniture (charging handle, grip, trigger). I figure with adding on the handguard to the BCM will run me to a total of around $1200 This will not be my first AR (I already own a spikes ST that I have upgraded over the years). Think the price is a little overpriced? I know there is a Colt 6920 OEM for less, but for various reasons I decided not to go this route and am between the above two.
