I just picked up a AIM TiN3 BCG from AIM surplus and I was wondering if anyone has builds with Titanium Nitride BCGs. I cant decide if it would look good with a bead blasted barrel?

Specs on Build so far:
Forger lower, BCM LPK, BCM stock kit, BCM QD endplate, BCM stock, Aero upper (w/o FA), AIM TiN3 BCG... just need the barrel and handgaurd. Probably going with MI 15" MLok and Ballistic Advantage Barrel. Cant decide between the Premium 223W or the 556 performance.

Any guidance on the build or pics of yours would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Congo

I have a titanium nitride BCG in an upper with a bead blasted 11.5" SS barrel. Looks good, imo. The titanium nitride is a little shinier than the bead blasted barrel. The coating definitely helps with cleaning, which is important if you run a suppressor.

I checked for photos, but every photo I have from in the house has the bolt open, and since I'm a lefty when I have the gun slung the ejection port is facing me so in the field photos don't help.

I will try to get a photo tonight.

You're worried about the color combo of your BCG/barrel?    The barrel will primarily be under a handguard and you can only see a small portion of the carrier through the ejection port.

I wasn't really that concerned, I should have specified I am more curious about the look. If my gun shoots and is reliable I will be happy!

Here's the photo I promised, showing BCG, barrel and Ti suppressor. Rifle and BCG could use a cleaning. Shooting suppressed is dirty:
