im looking at getting a14.5 in barrel and putting a surfire warcomp flash hider which they state is 2.6 in i trying to find out if i get that pinned and welded will that meet the atf requirement of 16 inches?

Why not just get a 16" barrel and be done with it, plus there is no worries about pin and weld ? That's what I do, the 1.5 extra inches is not noticeable, plus I can swap muzzle devices to my heart's content.  thats what i decided to do for my build im working on. i dont want to worry about the pin if i want to change to an adjustable GB, barrel nut etc. as you said, the 1.5 isnt going to make a difference. it wont swing anybetter than a 16 around a corner. if thats what your worried about, just SBR it. |
