They have crappy life for the price. Sprinco and Damage Industries are both better springs for less money. Quoted:

I bought a couple of those and a handful of extra weights during their recent sale...have yet to try them out but they look super awesome. They have crappy life for the price. Sprinco and Damage Industries are both better springs for less money. Well I hope you told Bill that! |

Well I hope you told Bill that! Bill is proud of his product, doesn't mean its the best value or even the best product. IIRC he says they're good for 50,000 cycles. Damage springs are good for 750,000 cycles and don't need fancy buffers to let them fit in your rifle. Not to mention they're $6. |

I remember I found the twang very noticeable with my first AR. I believe I did the grease thing.
Never bothered with any of my other Ars , not sure if I became hardened or if the guns mellowed out with time. I will have to listen next time I shoot. I wonder if the OP is a new shooter? Whatever. |

You should have bought an accuwedge too while you off wasting money to stop noticing shit that doesn't matter. I don't know. When the upper rocks back and forth a little it's so loose, it's kind of annoying. One came in my Colt A2 20"er and I've always left it in. But I didn't buy it specifically.
As far as the sproing goes. There's nothing to fix. It's just how it is. I don't notice it on my carbines but on a fixed stock, then yeah, I hear it. I asked the same thing when I first shot my AR. But it's just how it's supposed to be. Trying to fix it is like dumping salt all over cake. Or something like that. |

AR has the sproing Garand has the ping Embrace the sweet sound of Freedom. Well said new guy... I never worried about things like the Spring noise, or the roundness of my Dot, or the fit of my upper and lower... Guess I was too preoccupied on things like Sight picture and trigger control and manipulation of the gun and getting rds on the target quickly.... But if it bothers you, load up your buffer tube with grease... problem solved. |
