What is everyone's go to brand for rails? I'm currently looking for a 15" rail and I would like to stay under $200. Is keymod or mlok better?

Keymod or MLOK is all personal preference, really.  Ive gone MLOK on my last few rails and cant complain.  I picked up an MLOK flavored 15" SLR Helix rail on black friday.  If I buy another rail anytime soon I will probably buy another SLR.

I have a Daniel Defense Slim rail in keymod and a BCM keymod. I also like the Midwest Industries rails.  It all comes down to personal preference and budget. As for the keymod vs mlok, that's a whole other debate.

Geissele SMR is the only rail I'd buy at this point.  They're a little over your price range, but they come with a gas block so that makes up for a little of the price difference.

ALG makes some nice rails for the 100 to 150 price point

I'd go with this. Overall, I've been very pleased with ALG.

Geissele and Centurion.  I also have enjoyed Midwest's offerings and the Noveske NSR.

This. It's more expensive but so worth it.

Good advice here. Well made, lightweight, and priced fairly.

As of right now I'm considering Midwest Industries, ALG, SLR, and UTG Pro. Does anyone have pictures of the ALG V3 installed?

I highly recommend SLR. Their 15" rails are ~$240.

I'm just going to whore this picture everywhere... (16.5" rail on 18" barrel)

I have this on my 300BO $150 or so

I have this on my 18" Wylde ebay $45

I like them both the ebay one is huge in diameter compared to the hera but I like them both

I also have this cheapo, $39 when I bought it it works ok but the key slots are oddly shaped and take a lot of effort to use. the nut is also very difficult to get lined up strait.

for the money I'd buy the ebay one again, every time

I just got my first Geissele hg a few weeks ago and I love it. All my other rifles have quad rails, the mk4 is a hell of a lot lighter than any of them. I'll be getting a 15" mk4 for my 18" stealth barreled upper I'm throwing together. Keep an eye out Primary Arms will probably have them on sale again in the coming weeks. The SLR look nice also, they have one that is very similar to the mk4.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I decided to go with a Midwest Industries G3 mlok 15". I can't wait for it to be here. It's the last part I need to finish my build
