| I put together a cheap build with a Colt complete upper I had lying around, and wanted to make it an irons only KISS kind of build and went to install a set of GI handguards I had sitting around from a PSA upper I purchased awhile back. I've only managed to get the top half in and it was insanely hard, like I've installed/removed handguards before and know it isn't easy but this was seriously odd. So my question is this: is it possible that Colt uppers aren't compatible with PSA handguards for whatever reason? I had shot the PSA upper with the GI handguards before and not noticed anything unusual. The only other thing I think could be wrong is maybe the springs behind the Delta ring are dirty and it could be effecting how much I can compress them? |

My RRA upper gives me no trouble. Same with my Bushy. On/off a breeze. I have a DSA upper that takes 3 men and a boy to wrestle on/off. Ass kicker, every time.
2 sets of plastic handguards and quadrail. Delta pack IMO but not sure. Someone with more experience than me will probably have more input. Just wanted you to know your not alone. |

Also just want to say for folks to save the "OP you're a damned pussy!" comments because I already know that. ![]() OP you're a damned pussy Do you have a delta ring squeezy tool? They do help on the tough handgaurds. Still need 3 hands to get it done though. |

Holy shit my fiance looked at it and realized the top one was off center. They went together easily. My buddy had his girl help him with his DD rail a few weeks ago (he couldnt do it alone ) I gave him a rash of shit. If I wouldn't have used every 'one liner' I had , I'd throw a few out for you. *Glad you got it OP. |
