Looking for information from users that have employed accessories like the YHM tri-rail or similar with AR15/M4.

If you have used one have you noticed any problems with repeat-ability or change to point of impact from point of aim during strings of fire?  Unable to group or zero, to include at distance?  Also general observations or feedback from use?

While I am aware that re-zero will be required due the affects of weight, barrel harmonics, etc., I am looking for information concerning it's overall effects on the rifle.

I used one on a BCM SOCOM barrel and a Colt SOCOM barrel. It didn't change anything on the rifle that I noticed and did exactly what I wanted it to do, which was hold my light.

I doubt you'll notice any changes it makes to your rifle, IF it changes anything at all.

What are you going to mount on it?

YHM just had them on close out for cheap. There are lots of pictures in the M4 threads.

M4 barrel, trying to work around the lack of real estate with the RAS.  Going to be used to mount a scout light with push button.

Picked up a few during their close out sale.

No issues to report in my use.

RAS is non-FF anyways, I've never given any thought to re-zeroing solely because I put the barrel mount on.  While Molon might notice a difference if he put a barrel mount on, I probably would not.

I have used them primarily on USGI-type Colt M4 and M4A1 barrels for reference.

Besides that, they work as advertised.  I'm guessing, 99% of people use them to push the light out a little further than the RAS will allow without resorting to "batwings" or some such.  Tried mounting an AN/PEQ-15 to the side once, probably would have worked just fine (re: holding practical zero, etc.), but my distaste for side-mounted LAMs got the better of me before I did much with it, might try it again in the future.

I also played with sticking my UNI-IR on the bottom rail and putting a Harris bipod on the RAS, when the legs were folded, they protected the UNI-IR from damage and/or accidental activation pretty well.  Again, short lived not because of anything inherently wrong with the setup... I just don't have many uses for a RAS-gun with a bipod.

I use 'em on issued guns a lot, quick, easy way to make an issued M4 a little more comfortable without going balls out with a rifle that looks "too different," though I've done that plenty, too.

P.S. apparently y'all cleaned out the close-out ones, they're showing nothing on closeout when I went to the site just now to see if it was worth picking up a couple more.
