| Anyone out there dealt with AWC in Oceanside CA lately and have any idea if they are still in business? Ordered a complete upper in December and still nothing and very little communication. Thoughts and suggestions appreciated. |

Thoughts and suggestions appreciated. Dispute it with the credit card company, then count yourself lucky. I got mine from them, and wish I hadn't. Barrel nut was not installed properly. One of the teeth was blocking the gas tube hole in the upper. Of course, they forced the gas tube through anyways, so it was crooked, and the BCG wouldn't seat properly. Got that fixed. Barrel was horribly overgassed, being a KAK industries barrel. Created function issues, constant failures. I've since pulled the barrel, and started fresh with a new barrel. Now it works great. |

Lake House Capital Management bought Ares Armor (now rebranded as AWC) a few years ago. The new CEO, Stirlen, immediately fired the founder of Ares Armor, Dimitri Karras (a former Marine and a staunch defender of the 2nd Amendment) along with all of the veteran staff who refused to comply with new "corporate policy" which are favorable to BATFE. Anyone who was a long time supporter of Ares Armor, like myself, knew that Ares Armor was very anti BATFE and would never support them in any way. So, Stirlen made up some bullsh*t assault charges against Dimitri and fired him, and his staff, few months after he took over the company. Ares Armor supporters then started to boycott the new company and trolled their FB page (Ares Armor) for about a year until they blocked just about everyone and renamed Ares Armor to American Weapon Components. DO NOT purchase any firearms/accessories from AWC unless you want to them to screw you over and then leak your info to ATF.
