Does anyone have experience or input on this?

Seems like it couldn't hurt anything. I'm always open to improvement on any and all parts.

Thanks y'all.

A normal cam pin is like 4$

This.  You're working on "diminishing gains" pretty heavily if you're spending $20/shipped for a cam pin.

I'd skip it, but it's your money, do as you wish with it.

Probably not. My bump gun has a pretty fast cycle time and I've had some unusual cam pin wear. If the pof roller cam I put in it fails I might try the V7 as the corners appear to be somewhat rounded.

I think Lantac makes a good looking one for their fancy BCG. If they sold it separately I would probably try it.

After having a "$4" cam pin fail (break) I switched all of mine to Colt units.

Yes, I am fully aware that cam pins are cheap and plentiful. Like I said, all parts can be improved. Doesn't mean there's anything wrong with it.

I have one in my ultralight build. Its a cam pin. Don't see wear. Not much else to say.

V7 parts are only worthwhile if you are going to build a rifle entirely out of V7 parts. They're built (very well, granted) with weight savings in mind, and one lightweight part amongst a standard build will make zero difference except to your bank account.

Agreed. But I was looking at the cam pin with only smoother functioning/longevity in mind.

I wouldn't go that far....the V7 Ti barrel nut and Ti clamp blocks are a nice addition to the KMR....they said a while ago that Ti fasteners were on their to do
list....

V7 BCG group is also a stand alone addition for those looking to lighten up a bit....pricey and weighs a tad more than Boomfab

The last time people began posting photos of wear patterns of QPQ cam-pins on this website, people called them a bunch of liars they wore so well/little.

Interesting. Was that whole BCG nitrided or was it just the cam pin?

I read somewhere that melonite treating a bolt (not the carrier) was a bad idea because it could mess with the bolt's heat treat and weaken it/shorten it's life substantially. Was that bolt in a rifle or carbine?

From what I understand, it has been in several guns, including FA SBR's, etc.
