The pin that is provided with the lower is supposed to go under the bolt catch inside the slanted channel correct?  If so, then what reason would it serve by allowing the bolt catch to be activated (locked back) when the right side mag release is pushed.

This is my only concern with assembly, and the bolt catch has some play in it still that I don't think it should have.

Also the front take down pin won't go through the vltor upper.  Whats the best method for enlarging that hole.

Yes the pin goes in the slanted hole and the reason for that is its makes it easier to clear a malfunction.

Thanks for the link.  The link that came on the box of my lower was outdated and no longer had a page.  axtsweapons.com/ax556/installation.pdf

ETA:That really cleared up my qustion about the bolt catch, thank you!

Although I didn't receive a set screw for the rear takedown pin spring.

Now I gotta put the vltor upper on my drill press and try and enlarge the front hole a bit.
