So has anyone used an Anderson MFG. Lower in a build before?
I got one the other day from my local shop for a build I'm working on, but I haven't heard or found anything other than what's on their website. Maybe I'm not using the "right" key words so I just thought I'd ask.

They're fine. Just as good as any sub-$100 lower.

Great lowers. You won't be disappointed.

Alright, we'll see how it performs once I complete my build!

They're everywhere and they're perfectly fine.  Pretty much all lowers, aside from billet, are the same.  As long as they are machined to spec and properly anodized, they are virtually the same.

A year and a half ago, they were the shills of the century on arf.

Then $49 in-spec lowers flooded the market with ugly ass horses, and all is well with the world.

Not a fan of the KY Derby?

The horse logo.
Well you can do as my daughter did and color fill it.
Red for the eye and Green for the rest of it and you have sea serpent / dragon logo.
Anderson lowers are GTG.

Just bought a few this weekend and they seem great.   Haven't started a build yet but they fit fine on a few uppers I lined them up on.  Wife wanted an ar started I promised her so I'll know shortly as I build it if there are any issues.

Sub $100 lower is not necessarily synonymous with inferior quality. This is the price level that the current market has set.

They're nice, good quality lowers. Better machining and finishing than similarly priced lowers like PSA.

The only thing I don't like is the big ugly horse logo and the finish they use.  The finish is super strong, but it's a noticeably lighter shade than all of my uppers, and glossy instead of matte.

I've used 2 standard and 1 "enclosed trigger" version (my favorite) and ALL were very nice. Beautiful finish (although all 3 had different shade to them), and VERY well machined. No issues with any of them.
As others, I could do without the ugly seahorse thingy, but they've grown on me

Anderson receivers are good enough for Colt, they should be good enough for the rest of us.

I have a couple Anderson lowers, only issue is the way they machine the buffer retainer. There is very little metal in front of the the buffer retainer, my other lowers have at least an 1/18 of an inch.

I'm using one for my current build.  Can't wait to see how it performs.  I was a little worried at first too cus I didn't see many ppl using Anderson.

I have a few, they went together just as well as any other quality lower.

I love mine. Absolutely no issues. As previously stated, an in spec 7075-T6 lower is an in spec 7075-T6 lower minus billet. They're good to go. They use cerro forge blanks, which are also- good to go.

I have a few of them. They seem as good as any of my other lowers including Aero, Matrix and so on.

I read something here about 2 years ago about dishonest practices, PSA blemish lowers are the same price, I'll pass.

Unfortunately, Anderson had an employee on here trying a "shill" deal (acting as a regular joe, while being an Anderson employee). It's a shame, because it soiled the Anderson name. However, their lowers (and uppers from what I've heard) are absolutely quality and well worth the price. PSA's are great too, so it's a toss up. I've had GREAT luck with Andersons (and actually prefer the ridiculous seahorse over the even more ridiculous PSA "crossed dildos" logo) and will stick with them.

Lol

Never heard that.

I thought it was the owner that was on here?

ETA: VP of sales

Here

Now off to see if he still works there.

ETA 2: looks like there were either two of them or he had two accounts.

As of April he was still VP of sales.
