I was looking at PSA's Mid-Length Dissipator Style Uppers. They have two currently listed. The Freedom upper has a stainless steel "Freedom" barrel while the CHF upper has an FN mid-length barrel. They are both 1:7 twist 16" barrels. The Freedom Upper is priced at $260 while the FN barrel upper is priced at $400. Is the extra $140 worth it for the FN barrel over the other? That price difference is the price of a nice BCG right there.

Any input welcome, thanks guys.

Depends on what you want, really. The CHF/CL barrel will last longer and it will be easier to clean. It's also from a known manufacturer, as you said. We don't know who makes the Freedom line or how well they perform yet. Generally speaking, SS seem to be a little more accurate because chrome lining isn't always even.
