I'm here for questions about my Summer build. All money saved & in the bank thanks to my 2011 deployment "Enduring Freedom" aboard CVN-77 as an Aviation Ordnanceman. I'm ready to start pencil etchin and military discount shopping. Any advice, questions for myself or information would GREATLY be appreciated. Positive preferred.

My [BLackOut] Build:

If I missed any parts please let me know.

Budget price: under $1,000

Objective: 1. Lightest as possible, 2. Put $ into barrel & trigger assembly 3. Range gun for recreational shooting (just for fun). 4. QUALITY 5. RELIABLE

My intentions are to have the top quality parts that money can buy for my first build. After doing some research, with the help of you guys and the famous YouTube avid watcher with late night dinners as I do my studyin. My best friend is on his 4th AR build and I believe has already put me in the price range and right direction going with Spikes tactical. Especially with them being based out of Florida, I couldn't be happier being a consumer from my home state.

Any questions comments or concerns. Please. Shoot.

You can get an awesome barrel on the cheap at SOTA Arms.  It is a mag-phos finish, but not chrome lined.  They have a great reputation in the .300blk world.  And for $139, it is hard to beat.  I use one on my hunting rifle, and it is a tack driver.  They have a stainless version for a few more $$.

Edit:  With an Eotech and G trigger you have 1/2 your budget (or more).  You could do a Primary Arms micro or 30mm red dot and save some significant $$.  Looking over your parts list again, and going with everything you want, you would need to up your budget to $1500.
