I just got one of these:

https://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=4430

It installed and mounted easily and is very comfortable. It is designed so that if I wanted to grip the handguard so that the handstop was placed between fingers, it would work comfortably. So I could have it between my middle and ring finger if I wanted to. Not that I would want to, but if I were in a hurry and just grabbed the rifle in an emergency, its possible.

Build quality looks good, and I find it better looking than the one from IWC.

Looks sharper on the bottom than IWCs.

How is it?

Yeah I saw that one and was considering going that route. It just looked a bit small and the radius which your hand sits against (while much better than a 90 deg handstop like iwc) not too gradual. I came across the grip stop from lanco tactical and I'm hoping it's as awesome as I'm thinking. Should be in tomorrow. I like the way they put in a much more gradual radius so your fingers sit in a more natural position. Although the one above does have  much better aesthetics for certain my main concern was that it wasn't long enough to get more than 2 fingers on it. Whats the verdict on that? Do you feel it's too short or just right?

I like it because I use it to locate my hand position and prevent it from sliding backwards. I don't use it as a grip like an AFG. Here are a few of the hand positions it can work with:

Running it between fingers works great, doesn't have to be pinky and ring:

It can be turned around and used in front. Great for those that use a shooting sling: (I didn't do it for picture, just held the rifle from another angle, but you get the point)

I used mine yesterday and also really like the versatility of hand positions.  Very comfortable between fingers and as a normal handstop.

Any feedback on the Lanco one? Im kinda up in the air between these two.

Well just ordered the Naroh, had to place an order directly with them since Rainer is sold out. If they number their orders sequentially i am only the 138th person to order from them. Obviously a up and coming company.

i've been eyeballing this for awhile. looks like i may have to order one up. all the other keymod handstops are way too bulky and silly looking. this one is much sleeker looking.

I have one sitting in a box, waiting on my 556 Tactical billet receivers before I put it to use! Also ordered a Grip Stop one as well, going to try them both out.

I ended up going with the Naroh because it does look so streamlined. The Lanco, while i believe it would work very well looks way too big and clunky for what I'm looking for. I gotta say, I'm already impressed with the company. I received an email update that my order had shipped less than 1.5 hours after i placed my order.

Good thing you guys didn't take the lanco. If you were to want to mount it underneath a gas block, the hardware is too tall underneath to do so. Can't believe nobody mentioned that.

That's obviously a design flaw. I read somewhere online about the possibly of Lanco releasing a dedicated keymod version so I emailed them a few days ago. I was told that the current mod 1 was the "keymod" version even though it mounts in other slot rails. That also played into my selection of the true keymod naroh

Lanco isn't a true keymod accessory. It's missing one of the lugs apparently. Also the hardware they use is too tall so if you wanted to install it on top of where your gas block is, it won't fit.
