Hey folks, new here, decided to join rather than just poach info from links on Google. I imagine I have posted this in the wrong area so hit me with that then riddle me this. I just installed a new fsc556 comp and was rather alarmed at the carbon build up around the crown, looked it up here, no biggie. Installed the new muzzle device using the shims provided, and got it clocked as well as a can eyeball. Upon peaking in at the crown I notice there are still some unused threads inside the comp. I cranked that bitch on there tight and don't want to start all over again. Do you imagine this extra space will effect performance/accuracy? Maybe cause extra carbon buildup at the crown? It's not much, space maybe an extra turn, take a look and hit me with opinions.

It should be fine like it is,,, When I put them on,, I do not use the washer,, screw it down as close as I can,, , I use a thread lock, and set it the way I want it,, I have had no problems, they stay on,,, and I can take it off if needed. As for the crown, as long as the crown is not damaged, its good to go,, just clean the gun as you normally would, it will be fine. |
