I'm interested in purchasing a 14" Centurion CMR rail & have noticed that the rail panels are bolted on with screws.  My concern is that the screws holding the plastic rail panels on would generate heat to my hands, making it uncomfortable to shoot without gloves. Is this the case, or is it a non issue? I'm hoping that the screws are recessed into the panels, but haven't been able to see one in person.

I wouldn't think it would be a concern. I use metal hand stops and am in constant contact with them while shoot. I also shoot my rifle enough to make the rails hot enough you don't want to touch them and have never been able to shoot enough to have it make the attachements hot enough to be uncomfortable. If I'm really getting after it they get a little warm but that's it. I could be completely wrong but if I am it would kinda be defeating the purpose of the covers wouldn't it?
