I was looking for a non FF two piece rail that was not wide or have sharp edges and of course rock solid.  I do own Larue and have owned DD Omega but wanted a lower price point.  I came across a Colt 6920 who's owner sent it in for a replacement Socom barrel cut down to 14.5 pinned/welded with a Matech sight.  I was impressed with the look and of course the rail once I held the rifle.

I ended up taking a chance on the KAC M4 RAS Seconds for $150.00 and it arrived after three days.  I was very surprised to see
how nice this rail is for being sold as, "Seconds".  It was difficult to find any problems with the rail and only found a very small
fine scratch at the end of the rail which is covered when installed.  I found what looked like a small water spot on the bottom rail towards the delta ring.

The rail installed quickly in 5 minutes and it came with four full size rail covers and instructions.  The rail was boxed and wrapped as if it was a non  Seconds product.  The install procedures have changed from PDF instructions found on the net but only slightly.  The top screw that must not be over tighten is now captured and must not be removed from the rail.

Is there a question located in there or are you just giving your thoughts on it?

My AR has the same rail and I absolutely love it. I picked up a used one on the EE for mad cheap ($65) to use on my next build. The balance it creates with a sopmod stock and 14.5 inch barrel is amazing and results in a very handy, very well balanced carbine that's easy to shoot and carry.

IMO, the M4 RAS is the best value out there for any rail in its price range ($150 new seconds, under $100 used) and not to mention I think it is a damn fine looking piece of equipment.

I have them on my two main builds. Trying to use magpul on other rifles but keep thinking they all need KAC rails.
